As we embark on this journey of community and caring with Operation Care and Comfort (OCC), it’s important to share a bit about our partner. Since its inception in 2003, OCC has stood as a pillar of unwavering support for our American service members. Their work is about honoring and aiding our military personnel with a genuine, heartfelt mission.
OCC’s nationally recognized programs go far beyond supplying necessities. They bring moments of joy and comfort to our troops, giving them not just goods but a piece of the home they defend. From providing event tickets to essential financial assistance for veterans, OCC exemplifies our nation’s generous spirit.
By partnering with OCC, we are part of an enduring message: our soldiers may be out of sight, but they are never out of our hearts and minds.
What We’re Doing
From April 1st to April 19th, we’re joining forces with OCC to gather donations for care packages that will be sent to service members overseas. These packages aren’t just boxes of items; they’re lifelines of support, filled with essential goods and heartwarming reminders of home. By partaking in this initiative, we’re not just sending goods — we’re sending morale, appreciation, and a collective thank-you from our community to our heroes abroad.
How You Can Join In Supporting American Soldiers
Participation couldn’t be simpler or more impactful. We invite residents and others to contribute by bringing in items such as toiletries, non-perishable food, entertainment materials, and personal messages of support. Donations can be made at our office during the specified dates.
Schedule a dental appointment with us between April 1st and April 19th. Our comprehensive dental services ensure your oral health is in top shape while simultaneously aiding our troops. But remember, booking an appointment isn’t required for participation. You can still visit our office and donate items from the recommended list (View Shopping List) during this campaign.
